What is age grading?
Age grading lets runners of any age and sex compare performances on a level playing field. Your finish time is measured against the approximate world-best time for your age and sex, giving a percentage: 100% is world-record level, and the same percentage means an equally strong performance whether you are 25 or 75.
How this calculator works
Pick your sex, age and event, then enter your finish time. We apply the official World Masters Athletics (WMA) 2020 road age factors to produce two numbers: your age-grade percentage, and your age-graded time — your result converted to an open-age (peak) equivalent.
Supported events: 5K, 10K, half marathon and marathon, for ages 5–100.
